

Glen Bryant began his career as a teacher at Portland High School in 1956. Over his 34 years of active employment in the Jay School Corporation, Glen served as teacher, football coach and school counselor. Mr. Bryant was among the newly formed teaching staff that formed Jay County High School in the fall of 1975. His many years of teaching, coaching and counseling resulted in a positive influence in the lives of thousands of students. Furthermore, Glen has dedicated countless hours to community service through his membership in several community service and veterans organizations. Mr. Bryant officially retired from the Jay School Corporation in 1990.
Glen Bryant’s long service to Jay Schools, and his service to the Nation as a veteran of the Korean War, exemplify good character and servant leadership. His impact is known by all the students he has cared for and the friendships he has formed with countless colleagues over the decades. Glen Bryant’s personal devotion to public education and care for his community brings great credit to himself, our community, and the Jay School Corporation.
