

Ingrid Saxman is a distinguished educator with a remarkable career spanning over four decades. She began her journey as an elementary teacher in 1968 at General Shanks, dedicating 44 years to the Jay School Corporation. Throughout her tenure, Ingrid taught at various schools, mentored new teachers, and contributed to the National Blue Ribbon Award-winning committee. She served as the past president of the East Central Council of the Indiana Reading Association and the Zeta Alpha Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an esteemed education society. Furthermore, Ingrid was a dedicated board member of the Jay County Public Library for 16 years, appointed by the school board. Her unwavering commitment to education and the community has left a lasting impact on students and the Jay School Corporation.
