Dear West Jay Parents/Guardians,
A boil order is in place for the next couple of days. This means that all water fountains at WJE will be shut down. For the next few days students will need to bring their own bottles of water or water containers. Milk will be available for students at lunch. I will update information as it becomes available.

Dear West Jay Parents,
We have been informed that there is a major water leak in the town of Dunkirk.
We are anticipating the fact that water may be out for an extended period of time.
Because of this, we will be doing an early dismissal for students who can be picked up as car riders. Buses will not run an early route, however busing will be an option at the regular dismissal time at the end of the school day for parents who are unable to arrange other transportation. Parents may begin picking up their students at 10:30 AM. If you have have a person picking up your child who is not on the approved pick up list, please communicate that information with your childs teacher or the front office. Parents who will be picking up their children beginning at 10:30 AM will need to follow the regular afternoon pick up pattern with K-2 pick up on the west side and 3-6 pick up on the west side.

What a great visit West Jay Elementary had today with the JCHS Honor Society Students!!! The JCHS Honor Society students came to WJE to help us celebrate "Read Across America Week". Thank you JCHS students for taking the time to read and share your love of reading with the WJE students and staff!!! You make us very proud!!!
Just a friendly reminder that school will be in session on President's Day, next Monday, February 19th, 2024. This day will be a make-up day due to a fog cancellation earlier in the year.
