Just to follow-up with Kindergarten information sent out earlier this month, if you have not pre-registered your incoming kindergarten student please do so at

It is helpful that you can complete the registration form digitally. If you need Wi-Fi to complete this, you can use the Wi-Fi in the Bloomfield parking lot if needed.
If you are unable to complete the pre-enrollment digitally, you can request a paper copy to the school. Simply send a note with the following information:

We ask that if you pre-register by the paper format to please send it back within 2 days, so we can track and plan for the upcoming school year.
Also the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment Date for Bloomfield Elementary will be Wednesday May 12th from 7:30 am until 1:30 pm. You will be contacted by us for a 30 minute slot. If you have a preference for a certain time, you may certainly call school first.
When you attend this session, you will need to bring a copy of your child’s certified birth certificate (from the health office) and social security number.

Pre-enrollment for prospective 2021-2022 Jay School Corporation kindergarten students will initially start with an on-line registration form. The link below will be available on the Jay School Website along with the elementary school website.
During the month of May, your home district will be contacting you to set up a date and time for a Kindergarten Assessment. When you attend this session, you will need to bring a copy of your child’s certified birth certificate (from the health office) and social security number.
It is highly recommended that your child receive physical, dental, and vision exams before entering school in the fall. Forms will be available at the pre-kindergarten enrollment session. Evidence of immunizations for childhood diseases will be required before your child becomes a student in the fall. No need to bring your child’s immunization record unless vaccines were given outside of Indiana.

Given the unpredictable winter weather, we will send Chromebooks home for all grade levels this entire week (2/8/21-2/12/21) in preparation IF an E-Learning Day is called.
We remind the students:
1. Please charge the Chromebook fully every night
2. Return it back to school each day so they can be used during the school day
3. Carry the Chromebook appropriately with care in the zipped up case
4. Use the school device only for school assignments
