Jay Schools are on a 2 hour delay, Tuesday, August 17, 2021.
We are going to make a slight tweak to our arrival/dismissal plan. Now, we are going to have third-grade arrival/dismissal take place on the east side parking lot (in front of the football field). It is our that this will help to alleviate some potential congestion issues. Therefore, the change that we are making is now the arrival/dismissal for the east side parking lot (in front of the football field) will be for grades 3-6. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to alleviate potential traffic issues here at West Jay Elementary.

It is time to register for the 2021-2022 school year. To complete online registration, please click the link below. There you will begin registration, request your username/password (if needed), or request help. If you would like to register your child in person, registration will be available in each building at the following times:
Monday, August 2nd from 8:30 am -11:00 am and 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Wednesday, August 4th from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm

If you have multiple children in different schools, you can register all of your children online or at any of our school sites. Welcome letters are being sent to parents from each school.

Jay School Corporation's Central Office has now moved to 414 Floral Ave, Portland, in the former General Shanks Elementary School.

Parents/Guardians- We will be holding the kindergarten program at 1 PM in the school gym due to the wet weather. You will not need to bring your own chair. Please enter the school down by the gym doors (Door #2) no earlier than 12:45 PM. Thank you!!!
Tomorrow we will be having the Kindergarten Graduation Program at 1 PM. We ask that guests park in the parking lot to the west of the school. We are planning to hold the program outside so please bring your own chair. If it is raining we will have everyone enter door #2 and move the program indoors to the school gym. You will not need your own chair if the program is held in the gym. Thank you!
