From Jay School Corp: Jay Schools are canceled, Wednesday, January 25, 2023. There is no eLearning tomorrow. This canceled day will be made up on Monday, February 20, 2023 (previously scheduled built-in-snow-day).

West Jay Elementary celebrated the 100th day of school on Thursday, January 19th, 2023. Students celebrated the day in various ways in their classrooms. The year has flown by so far and all of us at WJE are working hard to finish the year strong!
WJE Reminder: There will be no school on Monday, January 16th, 2023 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This day was a built in snow day that we did not need to use. See you on Tuesday, January 17th Eagles!!!!

We are having school today after the two-hour delay. Here are a few reminders about school delay days:
1. We do not serve breakfast on delay days.
2. Students can begin arriving at 9:30 AM. Students should not arrive earlier than 9:30 AM.
3. Dismissal time will remain at 2:35 PM.

WJE K-2 Dismissal Reminder(west side of school) : To help avoid cars backing up on to Highland Avenue, I would like for all parents of first grade students to delay their arrival time for pickup to 2:40 PM. This would help to alleviate the line that backs up on to Highland Avenue and will allow for a faster, safer dismissal. Thank you ahead of time for your cooperation in this matter.
Happy New Years to all WJE students, staff, and families!!! Don't forget that the first day back to school will be Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023.
West Jay Elementary students were excited to receive special Christmas suprises from the HoliJay Lights committee today. A big West Jay Thank You goes out to the Committee for their generosity!
Tomorrow is Polar Express Day at WJE! Students can wear their pajamas to school tomorrow!
